9 mths and 21 days.
this dumb blog has finally reached 50 posts =D through long periods of absence and short periods of intense blogging, i have finally reach this sacred number. i didnt realise it until a couple of days ago..didnt know i wrote so much liao...ok pretty much 50% of it is me crapping, but that's wad blogs are for right? for ppl to irresponsibly write about their feelings and all the hatred to their frens and this stupid world without even caring about the repercussions of every incident.

The first quote was discovered in RJC's prelim papers when ms lim gave it to us as practice. Upon reading it, i thought it was something rather intrigueing. to put it simply, we do not live to be happy, and that the pursue of happiness often leads us to discontentment. Rather, the expectation of sorrow in life may actually bring about this 'happiness' we seek.
Due the amount of time ms lim needs to go through one paper..gosh =.= i had a couple of chances to relive the paragraph quoted in one of the passages. I recalled something that Sinyee once told me, when virgos attempts things, they often think of the worst possible consequences. Er, i was rather shock at how true this astronomy thingy gets, i do think of all the outcomes of things which are rather major at that point in my life. ah.....*enlightenment*
Watched a Channel U show, Shoot 2 (some discussion show), which incidentally was talking about how wealth makes ppl happy. Towards the end of the show, i picked out something rather interesting. Happiness should not be pursued because often, ppl do not achieve this goal. This is due to the nature of happiness- it being a by-product. It is in succeeding in the goals in our lives that happiness comes naturally, as a by-product of course.
Perhaps this was the answer i was searching for for some questions i had asked myself throughout the later part of my life.. anyway, this schopenhauer guy is a pessimist, which explains why his philosophic beliefs are rather dark.
