i remember during one of my entries, i said that i took pride in the titles of the entries in my blog. lol...this is one of my favourites so far. orienation'06 ended last saturday. perhaps to the campers, it may seem like a great success and loads of fun. but as to every good side, there's a bad.
i was afraid of communicating with the campers at first. naturally, im a very shy person ( laugh all you wan) so i dun really do well with people though i've already been through shadows and pre-u seminar as an ogl / slo respectively (in your face losers). but still, throughout these 3 days of camp, i got to know some of them better, especially the guys. Being a games attached doesnt really help make things better for me.
Shall go about this systematically. Firstly to games attached ppl, i guess all 22 of us really been through a lot in this camp. The difference between councillors and GA is that they didnt have any campers to start out with and thus, no tempation, but for GA, we were given campers and yet not have the oppotunity to know them better. Its like giving us something to yearn for and yet not being about to get it. argh, dunno how to say. but i think GA ppl are worse off than councillors in terms of interaction with campers. there are a few ppl that i've got to know better in GA.
Firstly, zheng long, lol.....ur really a funny and wierd guy. The part i remembered most was during the setting up of the telematch. We were given the whistle for the games, but we ended up playing with the whistle, doing some spastic action. Maybe the rest of the people didnt know, but for all those who did, it was really funny. We even did it on the synthetic field while mr leow was giving a prep talk to the J1s on the tracks. but sadly, some ppl apparently copied our actions and performed it to his special teacher and got a praising from him in front of the j1s.
Second, to derek, we went through shit together cuz our stations were the furthest from the furniture, having to carry all the logistics across the field to the bb court. seriously, both our games suck, we told each other, and we're really unhappy about it. btw, thanks for helping me out during the ogl camp. I had to call off my game with the third family came to my station because i thought it was too dangerous. Because of that, i have to channel the last family to your station. Thanks for your support man.
To jennifer, i really didnt like u at first, because u bao toh us during the china trip, and as a result, i was stuck as bus ic for 5 days. but through this camp, i found u as a really sporty and genuine friend. i told u on the admin days that i wanted to be the siren master and true enough, u gave me that role during the camp. haha, and when i helped u out during the afternoon heats when everything was cocking up, at the end of the day, u came and thank me. When these things comes from your heart, u can feel it. and i did, i believed that thank you u said was from the bottom of your heart. during the telematch, samuel made fun of your deep voice and did alot of funny actions. we laughed like hell during that time...couldn't really control myself then while moments ago, u were just sitting at the furthest bench zibi-ing. after this camp, i realised that u are actually a very good fren and different from wad i imagined u to be during the china trip. haha, i guess it was my wrong judgement then and
partly because of my poor impression of your group of ppl.
To cui min, i only knew u during the camp itself, when i found out u were one of the siren masters. but thank u for the support u gave when i was running around arranging the games. a few times, u showed concern and told me not to be so stress, and u didnt give me any problems or complains when i tried to change the timings of the games so many times because of the cock-ups.
to the others i can remember, god zd,sam,ally,ph,zheng xiang, thanks for making GA a less torturing experience.
GA done, bitch gang also did quite alot of talkings during the camp. all the interesting news we have gathered throughout the day were shared to each other everytime we see each other. we also showed alot of support to each other, especially to nat. U could see the stress on her face when she has to be the bad guy up front and doing all the admin work, clearing up rubbish, and dealing with attitude campers 24 hours a day while others are sleeping in air-conditioned, 5-star rooms. So we tried to help out with her whenever she needs help.
Thanks NC and ZD.. after the world of combat, i had to clean up all the papaya,pear,banana leftovers on the bball court. and if it werent for u two, i wouldnt have been able to finish cleaning up the bball court even until JJ nite was over. lol. i was really dulan about my game and the mess it created but thanks for sticking with me throughout that 1 hour 30 or 40 mins of scrubbing the bball court in the rain. i really appreciate your help. especially nc, your leg got injured when u collided with a bullet train during the night game. And that bullet train was from my OG. lol, really pai seh about that. hope it recovers soon yeah?
finally to OG 26, u bunch of ppl really make me very happy and sad. the group only had 8 guys along with 13 girls. so it was understandable that we weren't really enthuastic when cheering. but during the night game, i happen to chance upon charlie's group which had 7 guys. they were really enthu when cheering while running, so i dun really think it's my group's fault that we cant cheer but rather the ogl's disability to make it happen. haha, but im glad u guys didnt show any attitude towards us.
i think our group wasnt really very good in cheering, but hey, who says the best group in cheering naturally becomes the best group of frens? after the 3 days, i could sense that alot of them got closer to one another, and it certainly wasnt through crazy cheering alone. but during the night game, og 26 was the second group to reach the finishing point but we were one of the only 3 groups to made complete to game and the FIRST when the game ended because OG26 covered 129 squares while the group who completed the game first, OG22 reached only 119 squares. ( MUAHAHHAHAHAHA IN YOUR FACE!!!!!!!) MY OG PRO BA, IF I WAS INSIDE MY OG AT THAT TIME, WE COULD HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME TWICE AND STILL HAVE TIME TO DRINK COFFEE. *ahem* *back to acting demure*
guys naturally will be guys, the best way to open them up is no longer using food, but vulgarities and dirty talk. lol..as much as the girls find it disgusting, guys talk better like this. even the most guai kia looking kid can be very perverted too. i remembered the guys got along closer after their first bathing session. sadly, i only went into the toilet to join them when they were finishing. they had to mass bath together because of a shortage of time. and during that time, fat ass took pictures of them posing together in their underwears. they were very sporty and even did poses. haha..the rest of the story is a secret which the only the guys will know. hehe. it led me to recall my first orientation where we had a mass bathing session at the toilet behind LT5. it's funny how friendships can be bonded at such places. our og girls also had a bonding session in their toilet, but they didnt reveal wad happen, so i cant really say anything.
the second day, i didnt really did much with my og as we have to prepare for telematch and WOC. i practically only see them during JJ nite. but it was really memorable. i was dancing with chee hung and sunny along with ai ting, boon siew and hui ting. but half the time, it was chee hung sunny and me gaying together while the 3 girls stood there helpless. haha..after that we sang together. the group collected all the lightsticks they could find and stuff them into 4 jj bottles and gave them to us. lol..i think it's really special and im gonna keep it somewhere safe.
during the E-web on the last day, i was rather sad that no one cried. firstly, i didnt wanted to conduct e-web because it wouldnt be right for me as im not with my group half the time, so i didnt really know them well. but because only me and fat ass conducted e-web before, and fat ass didnt wanted to, i have to do it. normally in e-web, the mark of your success in conducting the session would be seeing ppl cry. but it didn't happen in my group...so i guess the way i conducted it wasnt appropiate. haiz.. but after that, we played games together. lol..it was really fun. we played hai dai quan, ji niu nai,tiao wu wang. chee hung told me that when playing against aiting, u can win her very easily. The trick was to scare her and she would copy your movement. i didnt really believe him at first, but when someone scared aiting and she did the same action as the person, i bursted into laughter. after the e-web/games session, our group suddenly became very bonded upon leaving the classroom. the whole mood was different. we went back to the hall and played tiao wu wang again. in the survey forms given, there's a column which asked which was the best game played, and our group actually added in ji niu nai as the best game..lol..damn funny!
Aiting: thanks for being my first dance partner, actually, ur being forced into doing so. haha, and i think u became quite scared of me after that cuz i was being quite crazy. i didnt really notice u at first but after the mass dance, i took notice of you. ur really a very cheerful girl. but it seems as if u dun eat any food one...u didnt eat supper nor the breakfast we gave u. and u refuse to tell me why..zz.
Yonghui: when i first talked to you, u reminded me of wai leong. He's one of the people in the my com during shadows aka planning commitee for orientation 2' 2005. dunno whether its the way u speak of wad, i tot i saw his spirit in u for a spilt second. maybe it's because of the stable and confident tone which u spoke in that reminded me of him. but it's also due to the physical look alike. ur really friendly to a outspoken ogl here and i really appreciate it. it makes it alot easier for me when u are so ready and eager to talk.
amoz: funny name firstly, michelle told us that they call u a-mo in secondary sch. thanks for turning up for the camp even though u had swollen eyes on the first day which recovered. your eagerness to turn up for the camp despite the illness really touched me. and the fact that u said u wanted to participate more eagerly in activities to make up for the loss in the first day made it clearer to me that u genuinely wanted to be with this group of peeps.
jiahui: u're realy sporty when we kept calling u to come up to the group to do cheering. i think u really cheer the group up when u kept making the same mistake during our games. also after JJ nite, when u were playing with your zao siah voice. it really perks the group up.
to celine and anna: i really feel very bad for always leaving the group behind for u all to take care of when i have to run off to prepare the games, but thanks for not showing me attitude because of that and supporting the og. u guys are really more friendly and out-going than u look..haha...im thankful for that and all your contributions to the group.
fat ass jie sheng: since we're classmates, i dun really have to say much. but im still pissed off that u went off to tie water bombs, pang sehing our group for THE WHOLE OF WOC. only half way through WOC that i realised it wasnt because u wanted to tie water bombs. ppl give u time to be with og and u choose not to be. i want to also cannot. wadever la, but anyway, thanks for showing concern when i nv take my food or haven bath yet.
Seems like the camp has really paid off for me. Mr leow said that in this camp, we're suppose to learn about SD SM SA SR, self-discipline,self-motivation, sense of appreciation, sense of responsibility. for me, i think i really gained this sense of appreciation. and i only realised that 1/4 way through this entry. haha, wow....so this camp is really not for fun only. o.o scary to think about it. i dunno wad the others feel, but when i unconciously started thanking the ppl, then i realised how great it was to have the support of your frens whenever ur in need. that being said, we must also show support to frens when they are in need.
